DO THEY SUPPORT/STAND?

Yes, our frames were put through all sorts of trials for more than six years. Not only related to the IRAM 40020 standards, but also to destructive and real use tests. They have shown to be stronger over conventional materials such as aluminum.

WHY DO THEY ENDURE/LAST SO MUCH?

Canes have fibers that run the entire longitudinal length of each cane. This allows the cane to retain its toughness and strength, even when they are tore. Canes are superior to aluminum and carbon in terms of resistance, since once they are cracked, they lose their structural strength and are no longer usable. However, the tore and or cracked cane can keep on working for a long time without risk.

WHAT ARE THE JOINTS MADE OF?

The joints are handmade with aeronautical fiber composites (glass and/or carbon) and epoxy resin.
Such technology is the same used in the construction of ships, aircraft, and airspace industry.

WHAT IS THE ADVANTAGE COMPARED TO A CONVENTIONAL BIKE?

The main functional advantage of bamboo FRAMES is that they have a more comfortable ride than conventional bicycles.
This advantage is the elastic properties of bamboo, allowing better absorption of shock caused by road irregularities.

WHY ARE THEY MORE COMFORTABLE?

First, imagine a hit caused by a hole. Now imagine the energy produced by the impact transmitted by a rigid material (such as carbon and / or aluminum) to the seat of the bike and then the rider. Annoying!
Now imagine that same situation but transmitted through a bamboo cane, that because of its being more elastic and flexible, absorbs the energy of that same beat.
The energy of that impact gets the rider far more attenuated!

HOW LONG DOES BAMBOO LAST?

There is no exact term, but think of a wooden furniture. How long does it last?
If proper care is given, it gets better over the years.
It happens the same with canes. It depends on how you take care of them, it can get better over the years, becoming more stable and appreciated.

DOES IT NEED/REQUIRE ANY SPECIAL CARE?

Like any piece of furniture, bicycle and / or object we appreciate, it is not recommended to leave it exposed to the sun and the rain all the time.
Periodic maintenance and calibration standard, done by oneself, or by some trusted bike shop.

CAN I GET THE COMPONENTS IN ANY BICYCLE SHOP?

Yes, every part of the bike is 100% standard . And you can get and / or replace at any bicycle shop.

HOW MUCH WEIGHT DOES IT STAND/SUPPORT/HOLD?

The maximum recommended weight is 110kgs.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT GETS WET?

Nothing happens, canes are protected by several layers of polyurethane varnish which is one of the most waterproof and paintings in the world. It also has UV filter. However, it is recommended to dry it quickly so that the metal components of the bike do not get rusted.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I FALL?

You get up and move on. As in life!

HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF MY BAMBUBIKE?

It is important for your MALON BAMBUBIKE to have the following care:

• Moisturize the wood, occasionally, with wood oil;
• Clean mud and wood dust often;
• Always keep the tires at the right pressure;
• Always keep mechanical parts clean and lubricated;
• Give full service to the bicycle at least once every 3 months;

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I GET A TORE BAMBOO?

By the structure of bamboo a tear does not affect its performance, so you can continue to use it without fear, it is important that you notify us any tears to validate your warranty. MALON Bambubikes is responsible for these problems while your warranty is valid, ending this period, we can repair the problem at low cost.

NOOO. They are made of cane!

All bicycles are environmentally friendly as far as help us move in a sustainable and environmentally -friendly manner.
Bamboo bikes are made from a natural raw material and one of the highest rates of all renewability.
Its extraction and treatment does not require any polluting process. And bamboo plantations produce
35 % more oxygen than similar other plantations.
But to be really ecological, it must be used/rode.

Limited manufacturer’s warranty of 5 years for the frame of the MALON Bambubikes.
Warranty covers manufacturing defects and / or assembly that can be caused by normal and correct use of the bicycle and is executed with the product in Argentina.
If there is a crack in the cane, it can be repaired and / or replaced, given the diagnosis that Malon technical experts determine relevant to the correct and safe use of the product.
Malón SRL is not responsible for the failure of any component other than the box and / or malfunction of the assembly and / or problems caused by incompatibility with other bicycle parts and / or failure due to the alteration of the original product.
